Brief: This project, now complete, was a 2 storey side extension to an end of terrace property in North Oxford, Oxford. The existing property was victorian in era and set over 3 floors with modest gardens to the front and rear. After planning negotiations, approval was given in October of 2017.
At ground floor, the new extension provides an additional living room to the front with a large utility space to the rear. At first floor additional bedrooms are provided to the front and rear.
Given the aesthetic qualities of the existing building, materials and stone profiles for the extension were carefully selected so as to match existing. Brickwork & roofing slates were re-claimed to match existing. Period sash windows were also provided throughout.
Build Cost: Approx £250k.
Status: Completed March 2019.
