Residential Barn Conversion Commission: Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire
Client: Commercial Client.
Type: Barn Conversion.
Brief: This project, now complete, was the conversion of a single storey stone built barn. The existing structure was largely in good condition with the exception of some of the period timber structure that needed to be replaced as part of the works. The existing barn was divided into 4 separate farm stores at ground floor with grain storage within the roof space above. My clients wished to convert the barn into a 2 bedroom letting apartment with associated external works and walling. All internal finishes were to be to the highest specification with oak timberwork proposed throughout.
Build Cost: Completed at £135k (ex VAT).
Status: Completed June 2011.
