Type: Single storey rear extension & associated internal alterations.
Brief: This project, currently on site, is a single storey rear extension to an end of terrace property in East Oxford, Oxford, Oxfordshire. The existing property is Victorian in era and is set over 2 floors with a modest rear garden and dilapidated detached garage. Our clients want to make alterations to the rear of the property in order to create a large kitchen / dining area with open views and access to the garden. While various internal alterations are also proposed, the main focus of the project is the tall rear extension of a parapet design. Traditional stone details are provided where appropriate and a large traditional roof lantern brings in much needed natural light. reclaimed materials are to be used for the majority of the new external walls.
A replacement garage is also proposed as part of a follow up project.
