Just wanted to pass on our thanks for your inspired design. Everyone who has seen it so far has commented on the design and how it is fantastic use of the space. I am so glad that you convinced us to go for a garden room instead of a conservatory. It now doubles as a guest bedroom.
The builder you recommended has been great too. His team are extremely professional and very pleasant to have around the house (which is pretty important when they have been here for 4 months!). It has been a surprisingly stress free process.

We entered the building process with some degree of trepidation. We knew roughly what we wanted but really didn’t know how to go about improving our home to give us the additional space that we needed, within the budget and – importantly – providing something that would look good inside and out. Couple that with the need for planning permission, building regs, party wall agreements, dealing with quotes and builders, the task seemed too daunting to undertake. Some hand-holding by someone with expert knowledge, design ideas and who knew their regulations was much required. We found it in Crawford Bond Architects. For anyone who ever asks – is it worth all the effort? – come and look at our place; it most definitely is. With Duncan’s guidance we have transformed the back of our home, creating a beautiful room that also allows us to enjoy our garden to the full, and brings much-needed light and warmth into the property in unexpected ways. Indeed, we much under-estimated the ways in which our build would change the house, and our lives, for the better. Duncan was always prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and calm, with a clear vision of what could be achieved. We have no hesitation in recommending Crawford Bond to others. The extension is lovely and looks as if it has always been part of the house. The space is amazing inside and we are still getting used to having so much room.
