We entered the building process with some degree of trepidation. We knew roughly what we wanted but really didn’t know how to go about improving our home to give us the additional space that we needed, within the budget and – importantly – providing something that would look good inside and out. Couple that with the need for planning permission, building regs, party wall agreements, dealing with quotes and builders, the task seemed too daunting to undertake. Some hand-holding by someone with expert knowledge, design ideas and who knew their regulations was much required. We found it in Crawford Bond Architects. For anyone who ever asks – is it worth all the effort? – come and look at our place; it most definitely is. With Duncan’s guidance we have transformed the back of our home, creating a beautiful room that also allows us to enjoy our garden to the full, and brings much-needed light and warmth into the property in unexpected ways. Indeed, we much under-estimated the ways in which our build would change the house, and our lives, for the better. Duncan was always prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and calm, with a clear vision of what could be achieved. We have no hesitation in recommending Crawford Bond to others. We still can’t quite believe that we have done it, but the hard work now is over, and it’s time to enjoy.

As a construction company working in the renovation and refurbishment sector we have to respond rapidly to our clients needs. Dear Duncan,
The extension is lovely and looks as if it has always been part of the house. The space is amazing inside and we are still getting used to having so much room. It is wonderful to be able to overlook the back garden and I look forward to the summer when we can leave the doors open and sit on the patio. The common response from our friends who see it for the first time is "Wow".
