Residential Extension Commission: East Hagbourne, Oxfordshire.

Type: Front & Rear Extensions.
Brief: This project is to be small single storey front and rear extensions to a detached house in East Hagbourne, Oxfordshire. The existing property is set over 2 floors and currently has a flat roof extension to the front. Our client plans to make alterations to the existing front extension in order that it might be more in-keeping with the existing property. In addition to this they plan to add a fully glazed garden room to the rear.
Changes in internal floor levels make this project particularly challenging. The existing kitchen is located within the front extension, which is raised some 300mm above the rest of the ground floor. Preliminary proposals are to lower the floor in this area in order to provide additional office accommodation. A new kitchen is to be provided at the rear of the property adjacent to the proposed garden room which will serve as dining area.
Build Cost: Estimated at £40k.
