Brief: This project, now nearing completion, is to be a modest single storey side and rear extension to a semi-detached house in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The existing property, built in the 1930’s, is set over 2 floors. The house already benefits from an open plan family room to the rear, and our clients want to create some much needed space by adding a utility area, small downstairs shower room and guest bedroom. The extension is to be modern in feel and contrast with the existing property. For this reason a crisp rendered cube is proposed with large glass doors opening onto a newly formed decked area. To the front of the property a new porch will be added.
Build Cost: Estimated at £35k.
Status: Nearling Completion.
